Standing alongside Purfleet and Grays families facing sudden financial pressure with essential food parcels, utility signposting, and crisis care.
Home visits, step-free community gatherings, and one-to-one assistance helping older and disabled residents navigate local services.
Divine Intervention Ministry Essex was constituted as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO) in December 2025 to serve the growing riverside neighbourhood of Purfleet-on-Thames and the wider Borough of Thurrock.
As new families, key workers, and older residents have settled along the Thames Gateway around Centurion Way and River Court, we saw a clear need for a local hub that combines Christian spiritual encouragement with practical, non-judgemental welfare support.
Our ministry bridges that gap. During the week we host open scripture reflection, youth mentoring, and pastoral listening ears; on the ground we partner with local volunteers to assist households facing poverty, isolation, or mobility challenges.
Our trustees serve in an unpaid, voluntary capacity to oversee safeguarding, community welfare, and day-to-day ministry operations.
Leads pastoral vision, statutory governance, and parish partnerships across Purfleet-on-Thames and Thurrock.
Oversees community operations, volunteer coordination, digital infrastructure, and local facility access in Essex.
